Moving-In Day

Outshone all evening by the brand-new lamps, at bedtime it glares in through the uncurtained windows. The baby’s outflung arm lies in a pool of it. The parents stir, the baby cries and turns over. The moonlight has had the house all to itself for months, and wants it back.
